Aussie is not only the Australian slang word for Australian, but in terms of brand history, the Aussie is also one of the oldest models in our repertoire. But that's not why the "Awesome Aussie," as it was fondly referred to in old KangaROOS ads, has been one of our flagship models in recent years. Rather, it's its classic construction that offers a wide variety of design options in the areas of color & material.
For this season, we've given the Aussie Neo Craft's upper a nylon side panel, mesh toebox and tongue, smooth leather heel tab, and suede overlays.
For this Aussie Neo Craft in the colorways "cream/orange" and "vapor grey/dk berry" we used a rather coarse, so-called "hairy suede" on the eyestay and heel overlay and a rather fine suede on the mudguard - visually an absolute delight. In the colorways "dk sea/ocean" and "jet black/steel grey", a fine, almost velvety suede was used on the eyestay, mudguard and heel overlay.
In addition, there is a mesh lining that ensures a high level of comfort, as does the proven Ortholite insole. Lateral stability is provided by a so-called stabilizer, which connects the foamed midsole with the upper around the heel. This is not only functional, but also looks good. The outsole is made of abrasion-resistant rubber.
