adidas Originals introduces another new silhouette - the P.O.D. System. Inspired by accumulated knowledge passed down from generation to generation and improved with new technologies, this innovative model transforms running shoes into street-wear sneakers.
The P.O.D. System sole is based on the principle of three-dimensional support plates, first used in 90s running shoes. The individual parts of the sole provide impeccable cushioning while also allowing for a sense of stability with every step.
Adidas set out to create a shoe that takes into account the natural movement of the human body. They used EVA technology for the front part of the sole, BOOST for the heel, and a P.O.D. (Point of Deflection) "bridge" that connects both parts of the sole. These sneakers combine three different innovations from the past and create what can confidently be called the standard for footwear in the future.
