The Coil R1 is certainly one of the most popular models in our assortment. This is evidenced not least by the various Special Editions that have been created in recent years in collaboration with our collaboration partners worldwide.
One reason for this is the multi-layered design of the upper, which offers great design options for colors and materials. If you try to count the harmoniously coordinated panels of the upper shoe, you can easily come up with 10 different, partially overlapping areas. In the Coil R1 OG Pop, a layer of mesh forms the base of the shoe. Several differently sized panels of dense suede were placed on top. In the heel area, directly above the midsole, there is an EVA stabilizer that extends around the entire heel and provides excellent stability.
The DYNACOIL damping system in the midsole, the proven Ortholite insole, as well as the inner lining made of breathable terry cloth make wearing the Coil R1 OG Pop super-comfy. Also in this shoe, the outsole was made of abrasion-resistant rubber, which provides decent grip and pleasant durability.
The second reason for the popularity of the Coil R1 is certainly its shape. The wedge-shaped forward running forefoot area is razor sharp, an absolute feast for the eyes and makes the heart of every sneakerhead beat faster.
